This position joins the Baltic Legal Team to support credits, customer service, AML and payments business units.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the high quality of Bank’s customer related agreements - concluding, reviewing and amending them according to internal regulations, local/EU laws and Supervisory Authority’s (local, Swedish) applicable regulations.
  • Providing guidance and support to business units in customer related legal issues, help monitor legal and regulatory changes, identify and assess risks and resolve issues.
  • Providing legal and regulatory expertise on customer services in banking, including legal updates, drafting and revising policies, procedures.
  • Supporting other projects to support the legal department as necessary.
  • Providing necessary reports internally and externally.

As a successful candidate You:

  • Have at least Master’s Juris degree and experience in banking (especially credits, customer service, payments, AML).
  • Have knowledge of regulations applicable to banking services and consumer protection.
  • Have excellent judgment as to when to resolve matters independently and when to escalate unusual or sensitive matters.
  • Have strong research, written and oral communication skills in both Estonian and English.
  • Are hard-working, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressures.
  • Have the ability to analyze and seek solutions for complex business matters.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to build relationships with others and be a strong team player.
  • Have the ability work effectively, both independently and as part of a broader cross-functional team.
  • Are customer focused and proactive.
  • Are willing to learn new legal subject matter areas as needed.
