Tallinn European School is an Accredited European School established in 2013 by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research in order to provide a multilingual international education at Nursery, Primary and Secondary levels. The school follows the European Schools’ curriculum and delivers the European Baccalaureate diploma. Since September 2018, Tallinn European School is located in newly renovated historical school building located in the heart of Tallinn, between the Old Town and the vibrant creative district of Telliskivi.

Your mission and passion is to lead and develop Tallinn European School!

Being the head of the organization, your mission is to create and sustain an environment where students, school staff and parent’s community will feel comfortable, motivated and supported in their efforts to grow as human beings and to realize their personal potential. Additionally, you are encouraged to lead and contribute to the vision and strategy of the school.

Your role will comprise of:

  • being a leader and overseeing the overall operations of the school;
  • development and management of the international and multi-cultural organization;
  • building and maintaining the school brand awareness, being the spokesperson of the school in local and international communities;
  • responsibility over the students’ population, increasing the students’ population, school personnel and staff as well as physical facility;
  • planning proceeding from the School Development Strategy, executing the plans, manage school funds transparently;
  • manage the different operations of the school and make sure that each one meets the goals, objectives and standards set;
  • organize student groups to enhance their potential as in extra-curricular activities;
  • organize parents’ association so the parents and guardians can also actively participate in the programs and projects of the school.

You will be a perfect candidate to the role if You have:

  • will and vision to lead and develop international school proceeding from the legislation of the Republic of Estonia, accredited European Schools’ regulations and School Statute;
  • pro-active attitude, competences, practical knowledge and experience, as well as personality traits and attitudes that enhance the fulfillment of objectives set in the Development Strategy of the school;
  • will to comply and proceed from the modern educational leader competency model;
  • will and skill to cooperate with other educational institutions, local governments, embassies, entrepreneurs and international community;
  • at least 10 years of professional background and at least 3 years of managerial experience of a complex organization;
  • strong collaboration and cooperation skills, negotiations and public speaking skills;
  • management skills (budgeting, planning, organizing);
  • strategic thinking, result orientation, communication and collaboration orientation, solutions centered approach;
  • working knowledge of Estonian and English;
  • proper and relevant degree or qualification M.Sc. level;
