Managing Director

The primary focus of the role is to run, lead, develop and optimize the value chain of the CUTform factory.
Apart from being responsible for the continued development of operations, your key accountabilities are:
  • Developing and implementing an operational growth strategy for CUTform in line with group targets
  • Full P&L, Budget and Working capital responsibility for CUTform
  • Full responsibility for the Estonian operations
  • Alignment with group policies
  • Alignment and establishment of efficient processes with sales, finance, etc.
  • Representing Sjolund Group in Estonia

Experience and skills set expected:

  • Qualifying degree from university.
  • Professional experience of 10+ years, combined with managerial experience at least 5 years. It is preferable to have experience as a leader of team managers/functional managers.
  • Solid understanding of and insight into production and all related aspects of the supply chain – sourcing, logistics (warehousing, transport, processes) production planning, quality assurance/development, maintenance etc.
  • Experience from component manufacturing companies within metal processing, machinery, assembly manufacturing or the like.
  • Experience using LEAN or another methodical optimisation tool when developing performance. Accustomed to working with KPI structures with a solid financial understanding from an operational point of view.
  • Very good command of English language (English is the working language). Mastering the Estonian language is not mandatory but a great plus. It is an advantage if the candidate has had international exposure and understands how to bridge cultural differences.
  • Strong leadership skills / Decisive decision maker / transparent and objective.
  • Strategic thinking (technical, analytical skills, business cases).
  • Execution: manages the delivery of the business plan put forth by the board .
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in plant operations and maintenance required.
  • Communication proactiveness both inside the company and externally.
  • Drive excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of the site operations to support value-addition and cost reductions.
  • Performance management, bottom line oriented.
