Volvo Estonia and Volvo Group Finance is looking for a talented person to pick up the position of

Chief Accountant

You will be responsible for the accounting records and its accuracy. You’ll provide both internal and external parties with meaningful, accurate and timely financial information of the Estonian legal entity and ensure that the books are closed on time and according to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for leading, guiding and supporting your small professional team. You will report to the Managing Director of Volvo Estonia OÜ and the Director Company Control Central North of Volvo Group.


  • Responsible for delivery of the complete financial statement for Estonian legal entity in the Volvo Group consolidation system;
  • Drive daily control and monitoring within all relevant accounting processes;
  • Work closely with the business to fully understand the flows of transactions into the balance sheet, to ensure that there are no material misstatements;
  • Ensure completion of all statutory and compliance for the Volvo Estonia OÜ;
  • Consolidate, report and deliver monthly and annual closing of the legal entity results;
  • Coordinate and facilitate audits;
  • Manage the month-end closing process, business consolidation system reporting and preparation for annual audit.


  • University degree;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience gained in accounting area in an independent position;
  • Experience in functional leadership;
  • Estonian and English language skills;
  • Effective communication;
  • Continuous improvement/action orientation;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Readiness for cross-border and cross-functional collaboration.
